Golf Sand Trap Tips - ...look at why a shot from the rough is more difficult than the sand shot. A ball sitting in high rough will not take spin and will roll out of control, even if you strike it well. The high grass will grab the hosel of your club and twist it so that a straight shot is not probable. Trying to finesse the ball out of the thick grass also can result in fat hits, double hits and skulled shots if the ball is not hit perfectly. Sand shots have a large margin of error that allows a good result even if the shot is not struck perfectly. We will talk about that later. I will show you how to get out of a bunker with a decent lie, a buried lie and a long bunker shot, as well as a fairway...

Long Drive Golf Tips - ...first things that are going to have to be correct every time you golf swing is that you have to find the middle of the clubface for solid ball contact. You can have all the clubhead speed in the world, but, without solid contact, you are losing distance. You can swing a weighted golf club to help increase your clubhead speed. You can also use those little donut weights that you slide down onto your club. The next tip that I would like to mention is your grip pressure. This is an extremely important golf tip that is often missed. Your hands must be tension free. The tighter you hold the club, the less it will release throughout the ball...

Why Proper Golf Swing Tempo Leads To Better Golf Shots

Great golf swing tempo can be achieved by any golfer. It is helpful to work on your golf swing tempo when trying to improve your golf swing as this will help incorporate any technical swing changes. The golf club will tend to swing on the correct path more easily when a golfer has good tempo. Any golf swing errors or bad habits can actually be minimized a lot by simply swinging the club smoothly and at the correct pace.

The first key to creating good tempo in the swing is to only swing about 70 percent on most of your golf shots. You can approximate how hard to swing by thinking of swinging as fast as you can at 100 percent. Then just tone it down a notch or two and you'll be swinging well. The idea behind proper tempo in the swing is to keep things under control. You still want to swing hard or swing like you mean it, but don't try and kill the ball. Trying as hard as you can will cause the tempo to get too quick and this is when swing errors or bad habits can occur.

Most problems associated with tempo are from rushing and especially from rushing the golf swing transition. Make sure you allow yourself to finish your backswing before you start your downswing. This will help promote a smooth transition with good tempo. Rushing the downswing will lead to things getting out of position and it will be difficult to hit good golf shots.

Good tempo will also allow things to work together better in the swing. Swinging too fast is obviously a problem but swinging too slow won't do a golfer much good either. A golfer who swings too slow often falls into the problem of steering or guiding the club too much. For the golf club to swing naturally it needs to be swung, not lifted or guided in the backswing.

Smooth tempo on the backswing will lead to a better downswing as well. A backswing which is too fast may cause the club to decelerate on the downswing and follow through. Ideally, we want the club to be speeding up or going the fastest through the impact zone. This allows the golfer to naturally finish the swing in a good follow through position with good balance. Trying to chop down on the golf ball or swing too fast from the top of the golf swing will cause things to get out of sync. Great tempo leads to great golf shots and this is something that is within every golfers grasp. All golfers can make their tempo more smooth and this will lead to better golf shots.
